Bethesda & Amazon Team Up for Fallout 3 Survival Edition

Taking one big step above the normal collector editions (e.g. Halo 3: Legendary Edition) Bethesda has announced a deal with Amazon.com today to offer an exclusive "Survival Edition" of Fallout 3 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The survival edition not only contains the same goodies from the collector's edition (Vault boy bobble-head, Art book, making of DVD, lunch box) but also a full-size replica of the Pip-Boy 3000. The Pip-Boy is the device worn on the wrist of characters in the game. In real life it will function as a full digital clock for all of your waking needs. Hit the jump for a bit more information and an image of the Survival Edition which weighs in at a whopping $129.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Amazon.com on this exclusive edition,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. “The Survival Edition offers gamers the unique opportunity to own a piece of video game history along with a collection of limited edition items – it’s the definitive Fallout 3 package.”

“This is an exciting day for Amazon customers and Fallout fans,” said Greg Hart vice president of video games and software at Amazon. “We’re delighted to be the exclusive destination for Fallout 3 Survival Edition; this is a great example of the continually expanding selection we offer to gamers.”

Fallout 3 is in production for release this fall on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. To see more information about the game including screenshots and videos head over to the Official Site.
