Xbox 360 HDMI Audio Fix Coming Tomorrow

Since the launch of the New Xbox Experience last November some Xbox 360 users have been having trouble with audio for their systems, trouble meaning audio won't work with HDMI connections. Microsoft had been working on the bug and now has announced that a dashboard update will fix the issue coming early tomorrow morning.

From Major Nelson:

"Starting Tuesday morning at 0200 Pacific when you sign into Xbox Live you’ll be prompted for a mandatory dashboard update. The update addresses the issue that a few folks were having with audio and their HDMI connection.

This update will be rolled out to all Xbox LIVE members around the world over the space of a few hours, so you may not get prompted for the update immediately. Thanks for your patience."

Good to see the issue is finally getting taken care of.

Eidos Interactive has announced that Shellshock 2: Blood Trails will ship to retailers in Europe February 13th, and in the U.S. February 28th. Blood Trails is the sequel to 2004's Shellshock: Nam '67 in which "players will experience a conflict where fear takes on a whole new meaning."

"At the height of the Vietnam War, a covert ops cargo plane carrying a top-secret consignment known only as ‘Whiteknight’ is lost over the deepest, uncharted jungles. Special Ops soldiers are immediately dispatched to the scene to retrieve the top secret shipment and one-by-one they disappear without a trace… until one month later, one of them suddenly walks out of the jungle.

Crazed and deranged, something in the jungle had ripped out his humanity, poisoning his soul. Something in the darkness had driven him mad….and followed him out."

Shellshock 2 looks to be an even better game then Nam '67, and will have your survival horror skills put to the ultimate test.
