Playstation 3 Frimware Update 2.40 Coming July 2nd

The Playstation Blog has just announced that the latest Playstation 3 firmware update (2.40) is coming Wednesday, July 2nd. This update contains many features including in-game XMB, and the trophy system. Check out the videos below for demonstrations of both and more information on the update.

EA Confirms Mass Effect 2, Battlefield: Bad Company Sequel

Those of you who loved Bioware’s action-RPG Mass Effect and DICE’s newest installment to the Battlefield series Bad Company will be happy with the news that turned up today. In a recent financial earnings call EA CEO John Riccitiello divulged that Mass Effect 2 would make it’s debut on “multiple consoles” and that there is a sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company in the pipes for Q4 of fiscal 2010 (January-March 2010). This is all the information that is known at the present time, but stay tuned for more on these games.
