Coldplay to Debut New Single Through Guitar Hero 3 DLC

Activision announced today that the multi-platinum selling rock band Coldplay is to release their newest single "Violet Hill" in a Guitar Hero 3 download pack to help promote their new album. The album is entitled "Viva la Vida" is set to release worldwide on June 17th, you can also see Coldplay on the latest Apple commercials. The track pack will also contain two older Coldplay songs, "Yellow" and "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face." The songs will be available to download on the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network Store starting June 19th. Hit the jump for the entire press release.
