A site called intothepixel.com has just released a new image in their 2008 catalog, the image is a piece of concept art from half-Life 2: Episode 3. Into the Pixel is a gaming media that showcases top art from around the industry. Here is the official explanation:
"The Into the Pixel exhibit features sixteen works of video game art, selected by a panel of jurors from a field of submissions gleaned from artists around the world. The exhibition offers an opportunity for published video and computer game artists to be reviewed and recognized by the public and by their peers in both the fine art and video game worlds."
The concept art was created by Ted Backman, Jeremy Bennett, and Tristan Reidford of Valve using Photoshop, Maya, and ZBrush. The platforms listed for the work are Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. Thanks to IGN.com for the scoop.
