Big news this morning out of the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational event, Diablo 3 has been officially announced. A plethora of information, videos, and images have been released on the upcoming game which will ship simultaneously on the PC and Mac. The announcement trailer can be seen below and the very first gameplay footage can be seen below and an artwork video after the jump. The Diablo 3 FAQ page has all of the new information on the game, but has been working off and on since the announcement. * There will be five classes, with the barbarian and doctor classes being the first to be revealed.
* The game will return to Sanctuary, 20 years after the events of Diablo 2
* Diablo III builds on the random environments of the previous Diablo games by introducing a host of new ways to create random scripted events throughout the game.
* Players will be able to create male and female characters for all five classes.
* Diablo III will be playable over Battle.net, and Battle.net will offer some exciting new features to enhance players' Diablo III experience.
