According to Nintendo (because they apparently get news earlier than us) the latest NPD numbers have Nintendo at 10.9 million units which puts the Wii over the 360 for most sold in the United States. Here are the official numbers:
Nintendo DS: 783,000
Nintendo Wii: 666,700
PlayStation 3: 405,500
PlayStation Portable: 337,400
Xbox 360: 219,800
PlayStation 2: 188,800
