Eidos has officially announced the Beneath the Ashes DLC for Tomb Raider Underworld. The DLC will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 and offer a new adventure for Lara to complete. "Offering a new adventure specifically designed to extend the Tomb Raider: Underworld™ experience, Tomb Raider: Underworld™ – Beneath the Ashes sends Lara back to the remains of Croft Manor where she uncovers a massive series of never-before-seen caverns and age old crypts used to protect and hide a deadly source of power. The pack will also contain six new costumes and deliver an additional 125 achievement points." The DLC will be released on February 10th.

Eidos has announced today a deal between themselves and Microsoft to bring two exclusive downloadable chapters to the Xbox 360 starting this winter. The two chapters will contain around six hours of gameplay to the upcoming game. "Offering entirely new content specifically designed to extend the Tomb Raider: Underworld experience, Tomb Raider: Underworld – Beneath the Ashes and Tomb Raider: Underworld – Lara’s Shadow will deliver two very different single player gameplay experiences. Tomb Raider: Underworld – Beneath the Ashes takes place after the Underworld story has finished and will feature an incredible new environment to explore, additional secrets to unlock and different enemies to fight. Tomb Raider: Underworld - Lara’s Shadow will introduce players to a new kind of playable character and create a unique Tomb Raider experience." Beneath the Ashes will be available this Christmas with Lara's Shadow following in 2009.
