Valve has just announced that the Left 4 Dead update for PC is available now. It fixes numerous issues, you can see the full list after the jump. Valve says the Xbox 360 update will be "in the coming weeks". Hit the jump for the patch notes. UPDATE: Added video of the game being played on Xbox 360. Left 4 Dead is looking better and better with every bit of footage released. If you have three friends and looking for a good coop shooter, keep an eye on this one. Xbox 360 Footage

UPDATE: Rumor mash this morning, Kotaku has received word from Valve's Doug Lombardi stating that; "There is no PS3 version of Left 4 Dead currently in production." There you have it, nail in the coffin (for now). Seeing how Valve (read Gabe Newell) does not show the PS3 much love, you would think Left 4 Dead for the PS3 would be, well, dead. But, Playstation Magazine says otherwise. One of the blurbs reads "Valve's survival horror game Left 4 Dead is coming to PS3, but EA will be taking on the development duties in-house." This is what Valve did with the Orange Box but lets hope this one turns out better. Source: playstationbeyond

According to an article on Xbox 360 Fanboy, Official Xbox Magazine was able to play Left 4 Dead for the Xbox 360. Apparently, the Xbox 360 version will be the only console version of the game. Affinity, a team of former Halo team members will be handling the console version. This game looks exciting. It really reminds me of 28 Days Later.
