Codemasters has released a good deal of new media showcasing their upcoming all-terrain racer FUEL. "FUEL is set in an alternate present where the catastrophic effects of global warming have driven the population from great swathes of the United States. Now, these ravaged wastelands play host to a new breed of racers as they compete in heart-pounding, no-holds-barred races. Bringing the vast, varied and open-ended landscape to life is a full day and night cycle and a dynamic weather system. Snow, rain, destructive tornados, sandstorms, thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and blizzards – players will need to react quickly and adapt racing strategies in the blink of an eye to cope with everything the world of FUEL throws at them."

Codemasters is not a name you would usually link to the shooter genre, but they are looking to change all of that with their upcoming game Damnation . Damnation presents a 40 year struggle between the Nationalist and Coalition forces. Here is the rundown: "With resources exhausted, Prescott Standard Industries, led by industrialist magnate W.D. Prescott, have unleashed a new army and swept across the country destroying the shattered remnants of the remaining militia and mercilessly crushing the civilian population underfoot in their quest to establish a new order. Players assume the role of a member of the Peacemakers, Rourke, and embark on an epic journey to take on this sinister industrial-military complex, reveal the sinister truth behind Prescott Industries, locate his lost love and save the country from Damnation." GRID is planned to release this June. Codemasters, creaters of DiRT, have included official racetrack and circuit challenges, drifting events, road races and urban street competitions. GAMERSYDE has some new screens and the graphics look very impressive. Hit the jump to view the trailer.
