SOCOM Confrontation Beta Goes Live Today

Just a friendly reminder, the SOCOM Confrontation beta goes live tomorrow afternoon via the PSN. You can still get into the beta by pre-ordering the game at any local GameStop/ EB Games and grabbing a voucher. Those who have a voucher can share the code with two other friends as well. Playstation Blog has the official details:

"Assuming you’ve already registered, here is what to expect. At around 10am Pacific Daylight Time, e-mails containing the SOCOM: Confrontation Public Beta PSN codes will start going out in bursts. The e-mails will start arriving at e-mail in-boxes throughout the day. The e-mail will be sent to the PSN login e-mail address you provided when you registered for the SOCOM: Confrontation Public Beta. To redeem the SOCOM: Confrontation Public Beta PSN code, use the following steps:>

* Go to the PLAYSTATION Network Icon on the PLAYSTATION 3 XMB (XrossMediaBar).
* Select “Account Management.”
* Select “Transaction Management.”
* Choose “Redeem PLAYSTATION® Network Card or Promotion Code.”
* Enter the SOCOM: Confrontation Public Beta code which you received in the e-mail.
* Click “Continue.”
* The download will be available on the next screen.
* Redeem and download your own SOCOM: Confrontation Public Beta client first, then give the code to two other friends."

SOCOM Confrontation Gets Price, Date

The upcoming SOCOM Confrontation received pricing today via SOCOM.com. If you have been waiting to buy a headset for your Playstation 3 because there weren't any you liked, you can now rejoice because there is a $59.99 bundle of the game and Bluetooth headset! The game is set to release October 14. The pricing is as follows:

SOCOM Media Day - PS3 Bluetooth Headset Unveiled

Tuesday Sony held the SOCOM media day outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. While everyone was having fun shooting guns all day, there was some news that came about. The Bluetooth Playstation 3 headset was unveiled (Image after the jump) and a video flyby of the level Quarantine (below) was shown.
