Nintendo has announced that the much wanted Club Nintendo will be making its' debut in North America by the end of the year. Club Nintendo is a reward-based program that rewards people for purchasing Nintendo products with points to redeem for goodies. Also announced, the Wii Speak channel will hit the Wii November 16th. If you remember, the Wii Speak microphone was announced a while back and will retail for $29.99. It will be used in the new Animal Crossing as well. Those who buy the microphone will get the Wii Speak channel for free. The channel utilizes your Miis and mimics mouth movements for chat with those whom you have exchanged Wii codes.

Since Nintendo won't be attending TGS, their main press conference for the fall happens to be going on right now. We will update this story as news comes out so stay tuned! Nintendo Announces DSi The rumors were correct, the DSi will feature bigger screens, music capabilities and a 3 megapixel camera. The new DSi is also a bit thinner than the previous DS. The new DS also will have a SD memory card to be able to transfer pictures to the Wii, as well as a browser. Also announced, the DSi shop, similar to WiiWare, you can download games for points to the  DSi. The DSi will be available November 1st in Japan and cost  18,900 Yen or $179. Kotaku and Joystiq have the scoop about a hint in the future of the Pikmin fanchise, quoting Miyamoto at Nintendo's 2008 E3 Developer Roundtable as saying a new Pikmin is in the works. Miyamoto's translator confirms him saying "We're making Pikmin". You would think a title like Pikmin would have been announced with a little more hype surrounding it but it could just be it is a long ways off.
