Konami has announced that a new Bomb game mode is coming to Metal Gear Online starting tomorrow (January 27th). The game mode is a typical bomb gametype in which teams must protect or destroy a certain area on the map either protecting their team and allowing them to plant the bomb or defusing the bomb with a cooling solution.

Those of you waiting to get your hands on more Metal Gear will not have to wait long. The newest expansion entitled "Meme" will launch November 25th as was announced by Konami. The expansion adds two new playable characters including Liquid Ocelot and Mei Ling, the characters each have abilities to manipulate the game. Three new multiplayer maps will also come with the expansion, Silo Sunset, Forest Firefight, and Winter Warehouse. Finally, a tournament lobby has been created where players are but in battle situations to earn points to use for things such as character customization or new gear. The Metal Gear Online team has been hard at work since the release o Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Today a new game mode has been added to MGO called Team Sneak. Like the single sneak game where one player becomes Snake and must complete objectives, Team Sneak has one entire team camouflaged and they must work together not to be spotted by the enemy team while trying to complete objectives. Also added was a headshot only options for game hosts which allows users to create games where only headshots reward points while body shots (no not the good kind) subtract points. So go, download, and be trigger happy!

No, I do not have the game yet. The GameStop in our central Iowa town decided not to have a midnight launch on the basis that there weren't even 100 reservations. Crazy right? Those of you who did manage to get your hands on the game are probably already too involved in running away from cow-sounding Metal Gears to read this, so to everyone else happy Metal Gear launch!
