Metal Gear Solid Pack Coming to LittleBigPlanet Dec. 23

The Playstation Blog has just announced a partnership between Media Molecule and Konami to bring LBP fans a new pack full of Metal Gear goodness. According to PS Blog there will be two packs available for download on December 23rd. The first pack is a Metal Gear costume pack; Along with Solid Snake, "Meryl Silverburgh, Screaming Mantis & Raiden each have their own costumes from the MGS world. Get all 4 characters for the price of 3 at $5.99 on the PS Store, or pick your favorite and buy it individually for $1.99." The second pack is a big one. This pack is the Metal Gear Premium Level Pack in addition to 5 new story mode levels and one challenge level based on MGS the pack will contain a soldier costume "plus tons of new stickers (72), materials (12), decorations (10), and objects (18)." The pack will also contain: * 3 new background music tracks * 1 new interactive music track * 1 new Metal Gear Solid themed ‘sound object’ * New Plasma Ball ‘danger element’ * ...

Media Molecule Launches LittleBigWorkshop

Media Molecule has launched yet another LittleBigPlanet site, LittleBigWorkshop.com. The workshop gives you three areas to pre-design a level. Stuck in class/at work and have a great idea? Head on over and desgin the blueprints to your level to work on later (but don't get caught).  The three rooms are as listed: Workshop Room - "Watch and learn ways to give your LBP level creations a little oomph. Or teach a workshop you fancy pants. It's easy peasy." Inspiration Room - "Love totem poles? Ice cream sundaes? Robots? Whatever you love, this is your place to find or share your inspiration" Blueprint Room - "Using the blueprint creator design a plan with a splash of imagination and download it to your desktop, then create it." So head on over and give it a shot!   

LittleBigPlanet DLC Outfits Coming November 6th

Just announced over on the Playstation Blog , new outfits are coming to LittleBigPlanet on November 6th. First up, for free and only available 11/6-11/19 are a spacesuit and jack-o-lantern outfit (seen below). Next up, a set of $0.99 each outfits including a tree frog and gorilla outfit. There will be more to choose from than this, but these are the ones they showed first. Finally premium outfits for $1.99 each. These include the Solid Snake outfit and Sephiroth outfit. LittleBigPlanet Delayed Worldwide UPDATE`

UPDATE: The new release date for LittleBigPlanet will be October 27th. Just a week delay, now you have time to play Far Cry, Dead Space, and Fable 2. With the release date less then a week away, Sony has decided to delay the much anticipated LittleBigPlanet worldwide due to an in-game song containing expressions found in the Qur'an. No word on a new release date but we will keep you posted. You can find the full statement here .

Sephiroth and Old Snake Join LittleBigPlanet

More news via the Playstation Blog , two new(old) characters will make a debut in LittleBigPlanet sometime in the future. Media Molecule has announced that Old Snake and Sephiroth costumes will be available via DLC. " LittleBigPlanet and Sackboy have a strong identity and flavor. So then you try to find the translation to Metal Gear and Sephiroth, and the guys that made the characters really brought the flavors of LittleBigPlanet and Metal Gear together and kept the flavor of both of them" No word on whether the costumes will be free or not, so stay tuned!

LittleBigPlanet Pre-Order Goodies Announced (UPDATE #4)

UPDATE #4:   The GameStop website has revealed that the code you picked up (or had e-mailed to you) to unlock Kratos in LBP after launch will also give you Minotaur and Medusa costumes as well as sticker packs. Good news for those of you pre-ordering at GameStop . UPDATE #3: For those of you waiting to hear how to get your hands on the exclusive Nariko SackGirl you are in luck. LittleBigPlanet.com has just announced that the Nariko in-game character will be available via pre-order at Best Buy . You will get a card when you pre-order with a code for redemption when the game ships. UPDATE #2 : Just announced, the LBP sticker book (as detailed below) will be available through Circuit City via pre-order. While it does not look like the deal works online, you can go to any store and pre-order ( Store locator ). Stay tuned for details on the other goodies. LittleBigPlanet Goes Gold

Not long now, Media Molecule has just announced that LittleBigPlanet has gone gold! The game's official release date is October 21st (Europe later that week), so it won't be long now until millions of sackboys and sackgirls fill the webz with their beatuiful and horrifying  creations! Head to MM's Flickr site .  In addition to the golden news, Playstation Blog has announced that a bit of free DLC will be available for the first week after launch only. First up is something all LBP Sackboy/girl must have if they wish to explore the great beyond, a special spacesuit! Secondly a rare "I was there week 1" t-shirt for your sackboy/girl. So make sure you get the game the first week!

LittleBigPlanet Game Manual Revealed

The official Manual for Media Molecule's upcoming game LittleBigPlanet has been revealed via the SCEA website . Needless to say a lot of people are highly anticipating this game, so being able to oogle the manual for a month or so until the game releases is a very nice bonus. Hit the link below for the PDF. LittleBigPlanet U.S. Box Art Revealed

Fresh from the Playstation Blog we have the box art for the U.S. version of LittleBigPlanet. Notice the new marketing scheme with "Only On Playstation" at the top. Along with the Playstation Network logo mimicking the Xbox 360 boxes. This game looks to be one of the best of the year. LittleBigPlanet Blog Contest #1 is Up

For those of you like Sting and myself highly anticipating Media Molecule's upcoming game LittleBigPlanet, you may have seen the newly opened LittleBigPlanet Blog. On the blog today they announced the first LBP contest for you all to participate in.
