Fallout 3 Operation: Anchorage DLC Available Now

The first set of DLC for Fallout 3 entitled Operation: Anchorage is now available to download on your Xbox 360 (here is the web marketplace link for those of you on-the-go). Operation Anchorage has your Fallout 3 character take part in a military simulation of one of the greatest battles in the Fallout universe, the battle to defend Anchorage from the communist Chinese invaders. The DLC comes with 4 new achievements totaling 100 points. Download and enjoy!

Update: Added three new screens. Bethesda has released three new Fallout 3 "Operation Anchorage" screens from the upcoming DLC. One features a new assassin armor which looks very nice. The DLC is set to launch later this month at 800 MS points. Bethesda also told Eurogamer that in the second DLC pack entitled "Broken Steel" the level cap will be raised to 30. Enjoy!

Fallout 3 Editor and DLC Announced

Bethesda has announced today a good amount of DLC coming to Fallout 3 over the next few months. The content starts out with the G.E.C.K. (Garden of Eden Creation Kit) which is the basic editor for Fallout 3 and will be coming to Games for Windows users sometime in December. "The release of the G.E.C.K. provides the community with tools that will allow players to expand the game any way they wish. Users can create, modify, and edit any data for use with Fallout 3, from building landscapes, towns, and locations to writing dialogue, creating characters, weapons, creatures, and more." Secondly the first pack of console DLC entitled "Operation Anchorage" will be available exclusively for the Xbox 360 in January, with "The Pitt" and "Broken Steel" coming later in February and March. • Operation: Anchorage . Bethesda & Amazon Team Up for Fallout 3 Survival Edition

Taking one big step above the normal collector editions (e.g. Halo 3: Legendary Edition) Bethesda has announced a deal with Amazon.com today to offer an exclusive "Survival Edition" of Fallout 3 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The survival edition not only contains the same goodies from the collector's edition (Vault boy bobble-head, Art book, making of DVD, lunch box) but also a full-size replica of the Pip-Boy 3000. The Pip-Boy is the device worn on the wrist of characters in the game. In real life it will function as a full digital clock for all of your waking needs.
