Capcom has officially unveiled the Resident Evil 5 collector's edition for the west, and it is massive. The edition will launch for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for $89.99.

For your $90 you get quite a bit of goods. Encompassed in a special steel case is the game, bonus disc with special features (including the making of RE5), a nice Tricell messenger bag, a Kijuju necklace, BSAA patch, and finally a Chris Redfield figurine.

House of the Dead: Overkill Collector's Edition Announced

For those hardcore zombie shooter fans out there the Wii finally has a game for you. Sega plans to release House of the Dead: Overkill next February for the Nintendo Wii, and has announced a collector's edition of the game today.

The collector's edition will include special packaging for the game, an exclusive slipcase and an exclusive graphic novel.

"“Prelude to an OVERKILL” tells the fateful stories of Agent Washington and Varla Gunns, on the night before the violent and shocking events of the game. Illustrated by Steve Copter, of dissident punk band ‘Black Mekon’ (www.myspace.com/blackmekon), this specially-commissioned comic is only available in The House of the Dead: OVERKILL Collector’s Edition."

Shaun White Snowboarding Getting Target Special Edition

The upcoming Shaun White snowboarding will be getting the collector's edition treatment as many games now do, the catch, it will only be available at Target stores.

All three versions of the game (360, PS3, Wii) will get this special edition which will contain:

"exclusive extended content and features that consumers won’t be able to find anywhere else, including the Target Mountain – an entire mountain environment found only in the Target exclusive edition. Gamers will also be able to take advantage of exclusive jibs, additional scenes and more characters. Additionally, players will be able to cozy up in the game’s virtual version of the Target Chalet, the real-life mountainside home where Shaun and his fellow Target athletes hang out with friends and family at the annual Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado. Among other exclusive features, the Taget Chalet is the only indoor environment anywhere in the game."

Target To Offer Special Edition Of Ubisoft®'s Shaun White Snowboarding Video Game

Exclusive Version of the Highly Anticipated Action Sports Game Hits Shelves This Winter

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Oct. 8, 2008

Snowboarding phenomenon and Target athlete Shaun White will be riding his way into Target stores this Winter with an exclusive edition of Ubisoft’s newest action sports title, Shaun White Snowboarding.

The special Target edition of the game, available on Xbox 360®, PLAYSTATION®3 and Wii™, will have exclusive extended content and features that consumers won’t be able to find anywhere else, including the Target Mountain – an entire mountain environment found only in the Target exclusive edition. Dead Space Goes Gold

EA's upcoming space-horror game Dead Space has officially gone gold. The game is set to ship for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on Octbor 14th with the PC version following on the 20th. Those who buy the game on 360 and PS3 within the first two weeks of sales will also get acess to an exclusive themed suit. On the 360 you will have a chance to download the Xbox-themed "Elite" Suit, and Playstation 3 players will get access to the PS3-themed Obsidian suit. The suits will contain more inventory room and increased toughness. Both suits can be seen to the left.

Also, for Xbox 360 owners, EA via the EA Store is offering 1000 copies of the Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition retailing for $149.95.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Dated

Blizzard has officially announced the end of your life. The date for the release to the newest expansion of World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich King. The game is available for pre-order now and will hit stores November 13th. The regular edition of the game will run you $39.99. Acti-Blizz also announced a collector's edition of the game retailing at $69.99. The details are below:

You saw the fancy European Far Cry 2 collector's edition we showed last week, now it has been announced that the U.S. will get a GameStop exclusive pre-order edition of the game.

UK Gets Far Cry 2 Collector's Edition, Release Date

Our friends over in the UK finally get something announced first. Ubisoft has just released details of the Far Cry 2 collector's edition that will launch in the UK on October 24th. No word on whether the United States will get the same collector's edition or one at all so stay tuned. Here are the details of the UK version:

Resistance 2 Collector's Edition Confirmed, Beta Details Given

A few days ago we brought you the story that Amazon had leaked a few details about the Resistance 2 collector's edition. Today we can confirm that there is indeed a collector's edition and we can show you what is inside. As Amazon stated the collector's edition will feature an art book, exclusive weapon skin, a Chimeran action figure, and a DVD packed with goodies. Also the release gives a few details on the beta debuting in early October;

Saint's Row 2 Limited Edition Unveiled

Have you been meaning to get a box that looks like it has a gun in it? Well then the recently announced Saint's Row 2 limited edition is for you. As you can see in the image, the box appears to have a gun built in. No word on if the gun can be removed (I can just see the backlash on Fox News). Need a full size lancer to go with your Master Chief helmet? Well you are sure in luck. Amazon just made pre-orders available for their lancer bundle. Along with the lancer itself (see below) you can get the regular edition of Gears 2, or for $10 extra the collector's edition. The bundle will run you $139.99 for the lancer and regular edition of the game, and $149.99 for the lancer and collector's edition.

Spore Galactic Edition Announced

GameStop has just opened pre-orders for the collector's edition of Spore called the "Galactic Edition." Those of you who have been tirelessly recreating your favorite characters or monsters in the recently released Spore Creature Creator may want to head to your local GameStop and put this on reserve.

The Galactic Edition contains the game, a making of DVD, "The Human toolkit" video by National Geographic, "The Art of Spore" minibook, a fold-out poster, and a 100 page galactic handbook. Running at $79.99 this edition seems a bit pricey for what you get keeping in mind the regular version is only $49.99.
